Come and enjoy a stopover of a few days to several weeks to discover a still unknown area of the Dordogne: La Double. In the heart of the Périgord Vert, in Saint-Aulaye, our family campsite of human size welcomes you from April to September.
Whether you are with your family, as a couple, with friends or in the area for business reasons, our comfortable and functional accommodations are at your disposal.
You will be able to recharge your batteries by combining idleness, discovery of mouths, physical activities (bicycle, swimming in river, canoe, accrobranche, pedestrian excursions, fishing…) and culture of our area within a green framework, concerned to respect the environment.
The barbecue of Camping La Dordogne Verte is ideal to spend convivial moments with friends or family. Your vaccinated and tattooed pets are also welcome!
The games, the pool and our bar/restaurant area will allow you to enjoy moments of fun or relaxation.
Aquatic area
Young and old alike enjoy getting together to splash around in the Dronne or in the swimming pool of the aquatic complex. Located on the site of the Dordogne Verte campsite, our aquatic complex offers activities for young and old according to your desires (slides, heated pools, water garden, waterfalls, etc.)
In nature
The campsite offers a “natural” environment bordered by the Dronne. Saint-Aulaye is located in one of the most beautiful forests of Périgord which covers nearly 55,000 ha: the Double forest . The ponds that nest there offer a refuge for the fauna and flora specific to the places. The diversity of plants, the aromatic and gourmet gardens delight the senses.
Physical activity
The Petite Sologne forest is ideal for hiking , horse riding and also mountain biking. You can cross kilometers of marked trails in the shade of century-old oaks, pines or chestnut trees. Plans and guides for walks and hikes around Saint-Aulaye are available at the reception of the Dordogne Verte campsite. Bicycle rental is also possible.

This campsite, located in Périgord (Dordogne), benefits from a rare privilege: its location by the river. Canoe or kayak outings are offered from the pontoon on the site. The shaded banks are also a delight for fishing enthusiasts. The river offers an exceptional setting for recharging your batteries and cooling off in summer: a real nature holiday!
This is an essential activity in the Dronne Valley! By canoe or kayak, discover along the water, an unprecedented view of Little Venice at the foot of impressive limestone cliffs, between Aubeterre and Parcoul. From the river, we discover the banks of the Dronne differently and peacefully. A small corner of nature ideal for recharging your batteries… Reservation near the campsite. Several courses in July and August. Exit on request in low season, a quieter period.

La Dordogne verte campsite offers 3 categories of bare pitches (COMFORT, PRIVILEGE, PREMIUM) as well as 2 types of accommodation: wooden chalet or mobile home.
The wooden chalets have one, two or three bedrooms. Able to accommodate up to 6 people.
The mobile homes have one, two or three bedrooms (with air conditioning for some of them) allowing families or groups of up to 6 people to be accommodated.
These comfortable accommodations are all on stilts: thus the adjoining covered terrace offers you an unobstructed view of the Dronne and the surrounding countryside.

BARKER path
Harrison Barker was a 19th century English traveler and journalist who traveled on foot and by canoe through the
great South West. In his book “Two Summers in Guyenne, chronicle of the wayside and waterside”,
the explorer recounts his travels in the Dordogne, particularly in the Dronne valley, and recounts his
experiences in contact with the populations of the south of France. A new hiking route, “Barker
Double”, inaugurated in 2020, allows you to discover the Double forest and the Dronne valley, in the footsteps of Barker (…).
