Between Saint Aulaye and Pastel, it’s a love story that has lasted for hundreds of years. “Associated with the will of the municipality to make better known all this work around the pastel (courses, exhibitions, internships, …) the commitment of Michel Bordas, master in the matter, and of all the students and practitioners naturally led to the creation of this modest museum, which will however expand over time. »

In 2010, the town hall and the Pastel Association in Périgord (founded in 2003) created the Pastel Museum which houses a permanent collection made up of works acquired during the international pastel fair or during temporary exhibitions. These paintings by French and foreign artists are visible to the public from July to September. (Entry €1.50)
The International Pastel Fair brings together 300 works. Around a hundred guests will offer you their creations in different places in the bastide: the leisure centre, the Pastel Museum and the Clock Room.
For those who would try the “Pastel” adventure, 5-day courses are offered by professionals (sessions and prices on the Pastel en Périgord site)
