The paths included in the Departmental Plan of Walking and Hiking Routes
If you go to Saint-Aulaye with your family, you will certainly want to take advantage of the magnificent landscapes of the area and an escape into the heart of nature. The Périgord Vert is full of treasures! For this, take advantage of the marked hiking trails of the PDIPR. Arranged around specific themes, such as gourmet hikes, storytelling hikes or under the stars, these trails in Saint-Aulaye are accessible for young and old.
Detailed maps of the routes are available in the two offices of the Pays de Saint-Aulaye Tourist Office.
On the way to Santiago de Compostela
The Périgord Vert is criss-crossed by one of the major routes of the Santiago de Compostela routes. Signposted from the 12th century by the monk Aymeric Picaud and recognized all over the world, these routes are made up of 4 major axes, one of which crosses the Dordogne: the Voie de Vézelay or via Limovencis. More or less experienced pilgrims and walkers can take this route via the stages recognized by the paths of Saint-Jacques .
