The birth of Camping la Dordogne Verte
Arnaud, the owner and manager of La Dordogne Verte campsite, tells us all about it:
The story of Camping La Dordogne Verte began in 2017, when my wife and I decided to buy the campsite. This decision coincided with the arrival of our two children. We were seduced by the natural, soothing setting of this campsite, nestled on the banks of the River Dronne in the picturesque village of Saint-Aulaye.
Right from the start, we set out to make this a family campsite, where good humor, friendliness and professionalism would be the watchwords. We’ve worked hard to offer our campers modern, comfortable facilities, while respecting the natural environment that gives our establishment its charm.

The evolution of Camping La Dordogne Verte
Over the years, Camping La Dordogne Verte has undergone many changes. In 2021, we acquired the aquatic complex and installed air conditioning in our mobile homes. We have also carried out work on our 4-person chalets, to offer our campers optimum comfort.
We’ve always been keen to offer a full range of facilities and activities to ensure our campers enjoy their stay. That’s why we’ve set up a restaurant area with a bar, a barbecue area, a swimming pool and an aquatic complex with slides and heated pools. We also offer activities and entertainment for all ages, as well as a kids’ club.

The future of Camping La Dordogne Verte
The story of Camping La Dordogne Verte doesn’t end here. We have big plans for the future. Between 2022 and 2024, we plan to join the Sites et Paysages network of quality nature campsites. In 2025, we will join the Flower network, in order to move upmarket in terms of rentals and services offered to campers.
We are also committed to promoting our region and preserving its water resources and local flora and fauna. We adhere to the principles of slow tourism and are committed to helping our campers discover the riches of the Dordogne and Dronne rivers.
Ultimately, the story of Camping La Dordogne Verte is one of a family-run campsite that has evolved with the times, while remaining true to its core values. We’re proud of what we’ve achieved so far, and can’t wait to see what
